What is the process to work with me?

This is my five-step basic process. Proposals and agreements are customized for each client.

My work process

Let’s talk

The first thing we will do is talk. Our conversation can be via Skype or telephone. I offer a free 30- minute consultation to determine what your needs are and how I can help you.

I want to get to know you, what you are looking for in your business, what your needs and goals are and what is and isn’t working for you. From there we can determine what would be the best content strategy for you.

A short recap of our conversation

After we come to agreement on what you need and how I can help you, I’ll write a proposal to recap our conversation, what I’m going to do, pricing and deadline.

I work by project or retainer for ongoing projects.

Once you review the proposal and sign your approval, the proposal will be emailed back to me and I’ll write either a project agreement or retainer agreement with specific terms for that agreement.

Taking care of business

Work will begin once you have signed and returned the agreement and deposit has been received.

I require 50% deposit of my total fee up front and 50% upon completion of the project.  Payment can be made through PayPal using PayPal as payment or your own credit card.

Retainer agreements will be invoiced by the 15th for the upcoming month, to be paid by the first of the month. (For example, you would be billed on May 15 and I would need to receive payment by June 1st to start on Junes work).

Research and writing begins

After all the formalities are over, I can get to work on researching your product, your company, competition and your customers and other material to help get a better understanding of your product.  I’ll review your website and other marketing material for additional information to assist in writing effective content.

Throughout the writing process you will have the opportunity to review my writing and requests revisions. (Revisions are minor edits to the wording that do not go beyond our agreement.) You are given a certain amount of revisions within a specific time frame which will be stated in the agreement.  Revisions are part of my service at no extra charge.

On time delivery

Deadlines Met

The completed project will be emailed to you by the agreed upon deadline. Your final invoice will be sent at that time. Retainer agreements will specify deadlines for each month.
